I am a Graphic Design major at California State University, Sacramento, and am unofficially minoring in Photography. I've worked at Franchise Tax Board, doing graphic design, photography and videography for their Multimedia Department. Most of my experience included working with internal departments of the state agency, but I have also worked with the State Controller, John Chiang.
I previously attended San Diego State University, majoring in Communication with an emphasis on Advertising. While I enjoyed learning about marketing and advertising, that educational and career path just wasn't creative enough for me. I needed something more hands-on, that would get my creative juices flowing and that's how I ended up in graphic design.
Art and design have always been a big part of my life. Growing up, I was always coloring and drawing. When I was probably 11-years-old, I would design complete outfits for my 4-year-old sister out of wrapping paper and colored cellophane. In 4th grade, I was commissioned by many classmates to draw dolphins for their "Island of the Blue Dolphins" book reports. In 6th grade, my logo design was chosen to be used on the sweatshirts for all 6th grade students going on the annual Alliance Redwoods trip. I still like to design humorous t-shirts for myself and my friends from time to time. I also have an ampersand (&) addiction.
